Nothing beats the comfort of our room

Anne with an E (2017)

My sort of therapy is spending time in my room. It feels like my own little haven of protection and refuge.

It’s a safe sanctuary where I can be who I am, do whatever I want, get away from life’s stresses, and live in peace in a chaotic world behind closed doors.

The silence is so comforting that I can even stay here for the rest of the day.

My room is more than just a place to sleep; it is like a therapy session, as it gives me a sense of security that is hard to find elsewhere.

The simple act of closing the door and windows and being alone is all I need to feel calm and centered.

I am free to be whoever I want to be without any judgement. I can act, dance, sing, or just lie in bed without any second thought.

I know I can always find solace here, whether I’m having a rough day, want to cry my heart out, or want to break from everything.

The four walls of my room seem to hold a kind of magic. The smell, my possessions, and the familiarity of my surroundings all contribute to my feeling of comfort.

My room is my strengthening aid, and there is nowhere more calming than my room.
